Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have purchased their neighbor’s home, expanding their Hidden Hills compound to around six acres, Radar Online reported.

The $2.7 million deal, gives Kardashian and West the rights to a 1957 three-bedroom, three-bath house. The home has about 2,750 square feet and was owned by the estate of the late author and screenwriter Richard Matheson. Matheson was known for the sci-fi novels “I am Legend” and “The Shrinking Man.”

The home was not listed on the market and Kardashian and West bought the rights to the property in a private transaction. The also home has a 1.57-acre lot, which may have appealed to Kardashian and West and been the main reason for the purchase, the Los Angeles Times reported.

It is expected that Kardashian and West will teardown Matheson’s home and expand their own, which they spent millions personalizing since they purchased it in 2014, Radar Online reported. The Matheson home neighbors Kardashian’s and West’s current home, making the expansion possible.

Since Kardashian and West started their French country-inspired home project, they have expanded their family with three children and are now expecting their fourth child this spring.
