Kim Kardashian left baby girl North West behind when she went on a Parisian getaway with rapper Kanye West on Friday, US Weekly wrote. It’s the first time the new mother has been separated from her daughter, who is now 3 months old. Apparently, the reality-television star has already gotten a passport for little Nori, which she picked up Sept. 18. However, she still chose to leave the tike behind in Los Angeles for her vacation in Paris.

“Kim was sad to say goodbye,” a source told Us Weekly. “This is the first time she’s been away from the baby.”

But their trip to Paris might be more work than pleasure. The duo headed to the City of Light to participate in some Paris Fashion Week events, which began a few days ago. According to US Weekly, the couple was escorted into the Givenchy offices by Vogue Paris’ former editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld. In fact, Paris is such a large part of West’s life that he said it inspired one of his biggest hits.

“I spend 80 percent of my time working on [fashion] and 20 percent of my time working on music,” the rapper told Zane Lowe for BBC Radio 1 interview on Thursday, which grabbed headlines. “Why do you think the song ‘N----- in Paris’ is called ‘N----- in Paris’? Because n----- was in Paris! That’s why we were in Paris. I’ve put in the 10,000 hours.”

Kardashian, 32, covered up her postbaby body and was spotted wearing a light brown woolen overcoat, a gray T-shirt and leggings with lace-up boots. West also went casual with a T-shirt and jeans.
