Reality star Kim Kardashian may be ready for motherhood, but in the meantime, she will settle for a kitten.

Her latest companion is a Persian feline, which she named 'Mercy.' Coincidentally, her boyfriend, Kanye West, has a hit single track by the same name.

"My new baby Mercy! #Teacup Persian" she tweeted along with a photo including four snapshots of the adorable kitten.

The reality star has been dating the "Mercy" rapper for about six months , though the two have known each other for about 10 years.

Earlier this year, she told talk show host Barbara Walters on "The View":

"At the space that I am in life now, kids are definitely something I want. I think I wanted that before. I think I fell in love so quickly and wanted that to be my life so badly but I just didn't take the time to find someone." Kardashian, 31, added, "Anything I'd be in now would be a permanent relationship."

Last month, Radar Online reported that Kardashian wants her divorce from NBA player Humphries finalized as soon as possible so she can marry West.

"Kim feels that Kanye is the man she is going to spend the rest of her life with, and she doesn't want to wait. Kim's deposition will likely take place in the next few weeks, but she feels nothing is going to be gained by it," a source told the celebrity gossip site."

Kardashian and Humphries married in a lavish $10 million wedding, only to separate 72 days later.
