Kim Kardashian Paris Robbery: Kanye West's Wife Feared Being Raped, Recalls Horrific Incident
Kim Kardashian opened up about her horrific experience during the Paris robbery last October for the first time on Sunday night's episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
Kardashian reportedly took a long time to recover and the incident still haunts her. She and her family are still struggling with security concerns in the repercussions of the attack. "I can't sleep unless I have four security guards just outside my house," she said during the episode. Her mother, Kris Jenner, said: "It's my job to take care of everybody."
Kardashian revealed that during the robbery her mouth was duct-taped and she thought she would be raped and killed.
"Then [one of the armed men] duct tapes my face, my mouth, to get me to not yell or anything and then he grabs my legs and I wasn't, I had no clothes on under [my robe] and he pulled me towards him at the front of the bed and I thought, 'okay, this is the moment. They are going to rape me.'" Kardashian recalled the day of the robbery, saying: "And I fully mentally prepped myself and then he didn't and he duct taped my legs together."
"Then they had the gun up to me and I just knew that was the moment they are just totally going to shoot me in the head. I just prayed Kourtney [Kardashian] was going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed," she continued.
The robbery took place on Oct. 3, 2016, and it was apparently France's largest jewelry theft from a private citizen in almost two decades. By January, 17 suspects had been arrested and kept for questioning in connection to the heist. So far, 10 suspects have been charged, according to CNN. Kardashian said the thieves had locked her in the bathroom and left with an estimated $10 million worth of jewelry that included her 20 carat engagement ring worth around $4.5 million.
