Kim Kardashian, Purple/Orange/Turquoise, hit or miss?

At the launch of her new perfume in London on Wednesday, Kim Kardashian showcased her fashion knowledge and wore a purple/orange/turquoise color combo. This odd color combination seems to be taking over summer fashion. Even Cheryl Cole wore the combo on her U.S. X-Factor debut last month. But why is this clashing combination so huge?

It could be because the combination has gotten the seal of approval from both Gucci and Diance von Furstenberg. But be warned, the fashion houses say this is the only color clash for the summer, so don't try inventing any.

Kim is usually well-dressed so it's easy to take her word for it that this combo is in. Kim paired an orange skirt with a revealing purple top and turquoise shoes. She was definitely the brightest star in the room. Is this color trend really the hottest thing for summer?
