Kim Kardashian Talks Pregnancy Weight Gain: Admits Dressing While Pregnant Is Hard
Kim Kardashian, who is expected to give birth in July, has a new mommy blog and admits that dressing during the early stages of pregnancy is hard.
“For me, I’ve found that I’ve gained inches and I’ve gotten wider but my belly hasn’t popped yet, so I struggle finding things that don’t make me look heavy,” the reality star wrote.
“Some days, my baby bump really shows, and some days it doesn’t ... so I never really know what I’m going to look like.”
Kardashian is expecting a baby girl with boyfriend Kanye West. A source confirmed to Us Weekly last month, “Kanye always wanted a girl. They’re over the moon!”
Unfortunately, their daughter likely will not be receiving any of Kardashian’s old clothes.
“If anyone knows Kanye, they just know how into fashion he is, and I think he’s going to have things specially made. So, I don’t think hand-me-downs are going to work,” Kardashian said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” back in January.
Though Kardashian is trying to maintain her workout regime during her pregnancy, she admits that it is not easy. “I was so lazy but had to get that workout in! I'm so not a night workout person,” she tweeted last month before she headed to the gym.
A big motivation for her seems to be not wanting a double chin. “Can't sleep & I'm googling double chin exercises! I'm petrified to get one,” Kim wrote on her account recently.
Kardashian went on to discuss dressing during pregnancy on her blog, saying, “At this stage, I guess I’m more focused on concealing the weight gain than I am about dressing the bump, just because it hasn’t popped yet.”
Since her New Year's pregnancy announcement, Kardashian had been keeping her developing pregnancy curves covered, hiding baby "Kimye" behind wraps and tied jackets.
During an interview with NBC's “Today” show, Kardashian admitted that she is still getting used to the idea of being pregnant.
“I think until I really start seeing, like, a belly, it won’t really sink in. It’s just a weird realization until you really start seeing the physical changes and every day’s different,” she told "Today" host Savannah Guthrie.
