Kim Kardashian Visits Colosseum In Rome, Shares Getaway Photos

Kim Kardashian took to Instagram Wednesday to share photos from her visit to the Colosseum, a historical landmark in Rome, Italy.

The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star is having a summer getaway in Rome with her friend Tracy Romulus and she shared a series of photos taken during her visit to the iconic amphitheater.

"When in Rome..." the 40-year-old reality TV captioned her post.

Kardashian donned a long-sleeve white outfit tucked into a blue high-waist short. She completed her look with a blue necklace and sunglasses of a similar shade.

In the first photo, she could be seen looking at the camera while leaning on what appeared like a fallen pillar. The second image showed her candidly waking around the oval amphitheater. She was then joined by her hairdresser Chris Appleton and makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic in the third photo.

In another photo included in the series, she could be seen entering her hotel room, which had "408 Dolce Vita" on its door. The mother of four also posed in the hotel's lift.

The photos were taken Sunday as an outlet shared images of Kardashian coming out of a restaurant in Piazza del Popolo wearing the same outfit.

"They headed straight for the Colosseum to do some sightseeing," a source told E! News. "They had a private guided tour and walked around the grounds taking in the sights and learning all of the history. They were inside the grounds of the Colosseum for about an hour. They took photos and went into multiple areas making sure not to miss anything."

The source further revealed that after visiting the Colosseum, Kardashian went for lunch with her friends.

"Kim looked very relaxed and happy to be back in Italy," the source added. "She was very gracious with everyone she met and was friendly and smiling. They rolled out the red carpet for her at the restaurant, bringing over lots of different dishes for her to try. On the way out, she thanked everyone and they held the door for her."

Appleton also took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a series of photos from the same trip. One of the photos featured Kardashian posing for a selfie with a bunch of friends.

"Rome is fast becoming one of my favorite European city's [sic]. From the charming history of the colosseum to the beauty in the details of the Vatican, it's definitely a city to visit," he wrote in the caption.

Kardashian shares four kids—North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2—with her estranged husband Kanye West.
