Kim Kardashian wants Kanye West to be a present dad to their children.
Kardashian, 42, and West, 45, are not seeing eye to eye. However, the "Kardashians" star won't get in the way of the "Donda" rapper's relationship with their kids.
"Kim wants her children to have a relationship with Kanye and wants Kanye in their lives as their father," an anonymous source told Us Weekly. "Even though he and Kim are not seeing eye to eye, Kim would never want to try and stop Kanye from seeing his kids."
Another source reportedly said the same to E! News. The Skims founder reportedly wants the Grammy winner to be involved in the lives of their four children — North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.
"Kanye will always be their dad, and it won't change," the insider told E! News. "All the kids are very bonded to Kanye and adore him despite what's going on. Kim is doing a great job of not letting that change their relationship."
Kardashian and West's eldest son Saint just celebrated his 7th birthday, and the exes put their differences aside for the event. The "Gold Digger" rapper spent several hours at her house and bonded with the entire family.
"He will always be a part of their lives, and she will help facilitate that," the source continued. "She absolutely wants to include him in important events in the kids' lives and makes every effort."
Another source spoke with The Sun about West and Kardashian's reunion just days after he accused her of cheating on him with NBA star Chris Paul. According to an insider, their reunion was "awkward and tense." However, Kardashian remained polite and nice.
"You'd never think that anything like that had gone just the day before it - and when Kanye tried to bring it up with Kim, she told him it wasn't appropriate to even discuss at Saint's birthday party," the source said.
"She knows that the best way to shut Kanye down is to stay calm and not react," the tipster added. "She smiled through the whole party like she wasn't phased."
Kardashian and West announced their separation in January 2021. She filed for divorce a month later.
In November, they finalized their divorce and agreed to have "equal access" to their kids. The rapper also agreed to pay the reality star $200,000 a month for child support. However, West is only responsible for 50% of their children's security and educational expenses.
