Kim Kardashian’s Daughter North West Knows Mom Is ‘Sad’ After Paris Robbery

After having her hotel room robbed and being allegedly tied up and gagged, Kim Kardashian is understandably still not doing well after the incident in Paris.

According to an E! News source, while Kim and husband Kanye West are trying to shield daughter North West away from conversations about the robbery, North knows something is up. “Being around her children is the biggest distraction for her mind,” said the source. “North West is aware her mom is sad and not herself, but Kanye and Kim are trying not to talk about it around her.”

North may only be 3-years-old, but in a past interviews Kanye has called the toddler “really advanced for her age. Kim has also described North as a “mama’s girl,” so her picking up on Kim’s emotions isn’t far-fetched.

Aside from doing his best to protect his daughter, Kanye is also doing his best to assist Kim. Although “The Life of Pablo” has resumed his Saint Pablo tour, he always checks up on her. “Kanye has been by her side when he isn’t working and calling her nonstop to check in on her,” the source said.

With Kim now back in Los Angeles, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star is reportedly doing better but “still has a long way to recover from the robbery.” According to the source, “She has been receiving some professional counseling. Her friends and family have been really supportive.”

Kim is also fighting to clear her name, filing a lawsuit Tuesday against gossip website MediaTakeOut.com, which claimed that she made up the robbery. According to the lawsuit filing, “malicious publication of the articles, which paint the victim of a serious crime as a criminal herself, is libelous.”

The filings also states that two armed and masked men put a gun to Kim’s head, tied her hands, legs and mouth and left her on the bathroom floor as the made off with $11 million worth of jewelry during the robbery.
