Kim Richards, Out of Rehab and “Fabulous,’ Says Sister Kathy Hilton

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards has checked out of rehab after one month and is doing fabulous, according to her sister Kathy Hilton.

Hilton told US Weekly on Sunday during the red carpet arrivals at the Golden Globes that her sister has checked out of the undisclosed rehabilitation center for alcohol abuse and is fabulous.

Kim is on her way, Hilton told US Weekly. She is having a good time.

Back in December, 47-year-old Richards checked into a treatment center to combat her long-standing drinking problem, according to Entertainment Tonight.

On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Richards was frequently seen drinking and consuming prescription pills. In the season one finale, Kim Richards' sister accuses her of being an alcoholic after a fight. During the reunion show, Andy Cohen regaled tales of the incident while both sisters refused to comment on Kim's possible substance abuse issues.

Richards, mother of three, also confessed on the show that she frequently takes prescription pills, like Lexapro, Trazadone, and Topama, the cause of her slurred speech.

According to tabloid rumors, Richards was forced to rehab by Bravo producers.

She may have to go to rehab in order to save her job on the show, a source told Star magazine. People involved with the show are concerned and might have to step in ... friends and family don't talk about what's going on with Kim.

However, shortly after she entered rehab, a source told US Weekly that Richards was defiant in receiving care.

She tried to leave and ended up coming back, the source said.
