Is A Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Brad Paisley Hallmark Movie In The Future?
After Alexa PenaVega and husband Carlos PenaVega starred in “Love at Sea” and “Picture Perfect Mysteries” and Eric Winter and wife Roselyn Sánchez starred in “A Taste of Summer,” could Kimberly Williams-Paisley (“Darrow & Darrow”) and Brad Paisley be the next husband-wife duo to lead a Hallmark movie?
While speaking with International Business Times last year, Williams-Paisley revealed it’s “definitely” a possibility and it could even be based on the couple’s real-life romance, which began shortly after Paisley cast Williams-Paisley (simply Williams, at the time) in his “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song)” music video in 2001, or even be based on one of his country songs.
“Actually Brad has thought a lot about that,” she told IBT. “Because I think there’s great material to be mined from his work into Hallmark movies. So, that could definitely be happening.”
If it does happen, she’s not quite sure whether he’d want to just work on the creative side of the movie with her or if he’d like to actually star in the film.
“I don’t know, I’d leave that up to him,” she said. “He’s got so much going on, I don’t know what he’d have the time and energy for at this point, but I could definitely see him doing something like that down the road.”
Though Paisley has had some small acting roles over the years, on shows like “According to Jim” and “Two and a Half Men,” a leading Hallmark role would be his biggest one to date.
It does appear getting more into the acting world is something that currently interests the country superstar as he’s now working on a series called “Fish Out of Water.” It has a script commitment at Amazon, and. if it gets greenlit, Paisley would both produce and star in the show.
Fans will just have to wait to see if Paisley decides to join his wife in the Hallmark family, but, for now, they can catch him in his ABC special, “Brad Paisley Thinks He’s Special,” tonight at 8 p.m. EST. Williams-Paisley fans can see the actress in her episode of “Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings,” which is now streaming on Netflix.
