King Philippe And Queen Mathilde Of Belgium Enjoy Annual Skiing Holiday With Kids
King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium jetted off to their annual skiing holiday at the popular resort of Verbier in Switzerland. The Belgian royals with their four kids appeared to be having a great time. The family also took some time out to pose for pictures while having fun in the snow.
The 55-year-old king and his 43-year-old wife along with their kids Princess Elisabeth, 14, Prince Gabriel, 12, Prince Emmanuel, 10, and seven-year-old Princess Eléonore posed for a perfect holiday snap. The family-of-six posed for pictures outside their snow-topped chalet. The kids were colorful in their ski jackets, hats and snow boots.
They showed off their skiing skills before having some fun with an impromptu snowball fight. The family with Philippe in the lead whisked down the snow, the kids followed with Mathilde behind them. The king kept himself warm in a khaki padded jacket paired with black trousers, red and black shoes.
Mathilde looked chic in white trousers, turtle neck beige sweater and a black jacket that was cinched at the waist with a matching belt. The stylish royal wore black gloves, black and white boots and glares. The king and queen, who have been married for 16 years, looked relaxed during their getaway, which is their first official break of the year.
The mother-of-four left her tresses loose over her shoulders. The princesses were wrapped up in bold pink jackets, white salopettes and cosy bobble hats. The boys opted for red and orange jackets. Mathilde kept a watchful eye on the kids and ensured everyone was wearing their safety helmets.
The Belgian royal family’s outing comes after it was announced that Mathilde would be joining hands with fellow royal Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and pop star Shakira to promote United Nation’s new global goals initiative. The trio will work together to raise awareness about issues like poverty, climate change, war and conflict and gender equality.
