Amare Stoudemire scored 28 points, and Carmelo Anthony added 25, as the New York Knicks clinched a playoffs spot with a victory over the Cavaliers, 123-107 at Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks had a comfortable lead in the first half, but the Cavaliers mounted a major comeback in the third quarter. The Knicks went on a run of their own in the fourth quarter to make the playoffs with the Charlotte Bobcats' loss.

The Knicks outscored Cleveland 30-19 in the fourth. New York had 13 steals and only 10 turnovers.

The Cavaliers were led by J.J. Hickson, who scored 23 points and added eight rebounds.

New York improves to a 38-38 record, while Cleveland drops to a 15-61 record.
