Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Divorce Settlement: From Start Until Finish [PHOTOS]

The Kobe Bryant-Vanessa Bryant saga continues as the wife of the Los Angeles Lakers star received $75 million, half of the couple's total assets, on Friday in the divorce settlement, including three Newport Beach mansions, according to TMZ.

Vanessa, who had been Kobe's wife for 10 years until the two divorced in December, cited irreconcilable differences between her and her ex-husband in the divorce documents. The main difference centered on being fed up with Kobe's infidelity with Vanessa rumored to have caught the 33-year-old cheating on her with multiple women

Kobe, who was charged with one count of felony sexual assault in Colorado eight years ago that was eventually dismissed by an Eagle County judge, admitted infidelity during a 2003 Los Angeles press conference. Vanessa, cutting Kobe some slack, said afterward that her husband had made a mistake but that he was not a criminal.

She's been dealing with these incidents for a long time and has been a faithful wife, but she's finally had enough, said a TMZ source when the allegations of cheating surfaced shortly after the divorce was announced. This one is the straw that broke the camel's back.

Reports also surfaced that Vanessa even thought about filing for divorce from Kobe four years ago, but she chose not to because of their two daughters, Natalia and Gianna.

Vanessa wanted to stay together for the children, a source told RadarOnline.com. Vanessa stood by Kobe during his darkest hour, and she believed him when he said there would be no more women. Vanessa began to get suspicious again about 16 months ago about Kobe cheating on her, he knew that if he wasn't faithful, she would leave him. Vanessa had no other choice.

TMZ also reported that despite everything that happened, Kobe desperately wanted to win Vanessa back and to do whatever it takes to save the marriage.

That didn't happen, and now, despite the assets split, Kobe, who leads the NBA in scoring at 30.4 points per game, seems to remain focused on the Lakers, who have a 10-6 record a quarter of the way into the season.
