Kodak Black may still be in jail, but the “Tunnel Vision” rapper now has one less problem to worry about. Currently signed to Atlantic Records, the 19-year-old artist recently settled a breach of contract with his first record label, Dollaz N Dealz Entertainment.

According to Bossip, Kodak claims the label duped him with bad contracts and says they tricked him into signing a deal when he was only 16 years old without a lawyer present. The rapper originally sued the label in December, claiming regular payments were never made.

Kodak and the label eventually settled the case out of court, and the judge agreed to throw the case out. Bossip reports that the case was dismissed with prejudice, meaning the rapper can’t sue the label again for the same thing.

With a record label dispute now behind him, the “Tunnel Vision” rapper still has bigger issues to face. After being arrested at the end of February, Kodak was supposed to be released from jail in the middle of March but still remains behind bars.

The hip-hop artist, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, appeared in court on March 10 for a hearing to determine if enough evidence could consider him a “danger” to the residents of Broward County, Florida.

Kodak is also facing charges for an alleged sexual assault. According to an arrest warrant, the rapper forced a female victim onto a bed, allegedly removing her underwear and attacked her orally, then penetrating her. At the time of his arrest, his lawyers said, “We are firmly convinced that he will be vindicated in that charge.” He faces up to 30 years in jail.

As for fans of the artist, they can look forward to the rapper’s debut album, “Painting Pictures,” which is scheduled to release on March 31. Kodak’s Instagram account made the announcement on March 24.
