Is Kody Brown Looking For Fifth Wife? What 'Sister Wives' Patriarch’s Actions Say

He already has four wives and 18 kids and is adjusting to a new life in Flagstaff, Arizona. However, a new report claims that Kody Brown appears to be acting like he wants to expand his family—by adding a fifth wife into the mix.

According to In Touch, Brown is acting like he’s on the lookout for a fifth wife and may be scouting for one in the Flagstaff area, where the family moved last summer. A source told the magazine that despite already being a husband to four women, he certainly hasn’t been acting like it with some of his behaviors.

“For a guy with four wives and almost two dozen kids, Kody’s acting like he’s on the lookout,” a source told the publication. “Kody wouldn’t mind having a fifth wife. That’s what friends close to the polygamist father of 18 kids are all buzzing about. He’s 50 and says he’s happy at this stage of his life, but some people are noticing that Kody has a new outlook, and that could spell trouble.”

The source notes that Brown has been looking thinner and going to the gym regularly, keeping his hair up in a man bun, driving around town in a black sports car and not wearing a wedding ring. While noting it could also be some kind of mid-life crisis that is influencing his actions, the source says if it is an attempt to attract a fifth wife into the mix, it’s something he should definitely put a halt to, even if it would help beef up his struggling reality show’s ratings.

“Maybe he’s bored, but the last thing he needs is another wife,” the source said. “Kody has more than most men could wish for, so he should be content at this point in his life. Adding another wife would certainly give him, and ‘Sister Wives’ some renewed interest.”

This new report comes on the heels of one which suggested that Kody may not need to seek a fifth wife though since he barely pays attention to three of the ones he has and only seems interested in his fourth spouse—Robyn.

Sources previously revealed that he seems to only spend time at Robyn’s Flagstaff home, and doesn’t make much of an effort to see his first three wives—Meri, Janelle and Christine.

“It appears Kody’s official home base is wife Robyn's house,” a source told Radar Online. “He didn’t go to another wife’s home for almost a week. It seems Robyn is his true wife. The rest are just living their own lives.”

In addition, reports have surfaced claiming that Kody and Meri’s insistence during the reunion show at the end of last season that they were working on their marriage and in a better place than they had been for a while was fake. Not only has Meri not really featured Kody anywhere on her active social media pages for months, but she was also allegedly caught flirting with another man online.
