Kourtney Kardashian Doesn't Get 'Nervous' When Walking The Red Carpet With Travis Barker

Kourtney Kardashian no longer feels anxious when walking the red carpet, and she has her beau, Travis Barker, to thank for it.

The couple made their first Met Gala appearance Monday with no bumps or slips, especially since Kardashian had Barker by her side, Page Six reported.

"I used to get nervous to do red carpets, but when I go with Travis we have fun together and don't take it too seriously," the reality star said after the event, according to her lifestyle and wellness website Poosh.

"When Travis and I were invited this year, we decided we were going to just enjoy the process, have fun being together, and not stress about it — and that’s exactly what we did!" she added.

Kardashian then wrote about how she "never actually thought about going to the Met Gala," since for her, it always felt "too overwhelming" and "seemed like a lot" of pressure. "On the day of the Met, we didn't want to feel like too much focus or pressure was being put on the event and wanted to enjoy New York City," she recalled.

The couple wore outfits designed by Thom Browne, who is one of Barker's favorite designers. "We had such a great time getting ready together with our teams and had a little champagne before we left," Kardashian said, describing the time they spent getting ready at a suite in Ritz Carlton Central Park.

"Then we loaded into a sprinter van, where I had to stand up the few blocks to the gala, as my skirt was being sewn on me during the whole ride. The Thom Browne team had to finish sewing up a few details on my skirt, and they literally sewed until the moment I had to step out onto the carpet," the business mogul added.

Luckily, it wasn't as intimidating as Kardashian thought it would be. "Once we got to the event, the red carpet went by super fast. We honestly had the best time doing the carpet together," she shared.

She went on to talk about how delightful it was to see her family share the spotlight, too. "I loved seeing my sisters and my mom's looks too. And my mom was so cute and waited to see all of us at the top of the stairs. Then we went inside and did some fun little photoshoot moments inside. We were seated at Thom’s table and had dinner. The other guests at our table were so much fun. Lizzo (who I’m obsessed with) and Maisie Williams were both at our table. I spilled a little sauce on my shirt (oops)," she said.

After the event, they headed back to the hotel to get out of their red carpet looks. They then had an outfit change before heading to an afterparty, Kardashian revealed.
