Kourtney Kardashian’s ex-partner has checked himself into a rehab once again after a relapse.
Disick has been battling alcoholism and drug abuse over the years. In fact, those were among issues that troubled his relationship with Kourtney when they were still together. Apparently, Disick is still going through the same struggles at present.
A source recently told Us Weekly that the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star is at a “medical facility for rehab purposes.” DaiyMailTV also reported that Disick entered the treatment facility on April 28.
However, according to Disick’s lawyer Marty Singer, his latest rehab stint has nothing to do with substance abuse. The reality star was said to be seeking emotional support at the time. Disick is reportedly still not over the pain of losing both of his parents Bonnie and Jefferey Disick, who died just a few months apart in October 2013 and January 2014.
“In an effort to finally come to terms and deal with the pain that Scott has been silently suffering for many years due to the sudden death of his mother, followed by the death of his father 3 months later, Scott made the decision to check himself into a rehab facility last week to work on his past trauma,” Singer told TMZ.
According to an insider, the “Flip It Like Disick” star was doing well at the start of the quarantine period. However, the weeks of isolation eventually weighed him down.
“At the beginning of the quarantine Scott was doing really well and was doing a great job at taking care of himself and staying positive and healthy,” an insider said. “The quarantine has taken a toll on him and brought up old feelings and habits that may have not been fully resolved.”
In a recent episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” that aired on April 30, Disick confessed that he still struggles emotionally over his parents’ demise. Disick is an only child, and he was very close to his mom and dad.
“Losing my parents is not an easy subject for me to talk about,” Disick said. “It puts me in a very vulnerable place, to remember them and think about them.”
