Kris Humphries’ Dad Says His Son is 'Hurting,' was Blindsided by Divorce: Report

Not only has Kris Humphries' father announced that his family's standing by him while he recovers in his Minnesota hometown after his divorce from Kim Kardashian, but William Humphries claimed in an interview that appeared in Life & Style Wednesday that the basketball star was among the last to know about her splitting up with him.

How could someone do that? Humphries' dad said. Kris was completely surprised. The news was already published before he found out!

The magazine, which said on the cover that Kris won't sign divorce papers, also reported that a representative for Kardashian claimed Humphries had known the divorce was imminent.

After they met for the first time since splitting, a source told the New York Post Monday that Humphries' words devastated Kardashian.

She is...very hurt that he issued a statement saying he was blindsided by the divorce filing, the source said. He knew it was coming; they both knew things weren't working...but some part of Kim also misses Kris, and still wants him to be a part of her life.

Plus, the source said Kardashian felt as if she deserved some of the blame for their divorce.

Kim feels deeply embarrassed and sad about what happened, and decided... to talk things through with Kris, the source said. She also wants to apologize to Kris' family for all the drama, media attention and hurt this has caused them.

He's hurting, said Humphries' father, but we're here for him.

The divorce also made headlines in England, where The Sun reported Tuesday that Kardashian admitted she might've said I do too soon.

I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed into something too soon, said Kardashian.

TMZ reported Saturday that a tipster said Kardashian and her family would put off filming new material for their reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians until the start of next year, to let her put her life back together in private.
