Kris Jenner On Kim Kardashian, Kanye West's Divorce: ‘It’s Always Going To Be Hard’
KEY POINTS
- Kris Jenner wants to make sure that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's kids are okay and happy despite their divorce
- The momager said their family is loving and supportive of each other
- Jenner doesn't think Kardashian and West's divorce will be featured in the final season of "KUWTK"
Kris Jenner got candid about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's divorce hours before the premiere of the last season of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
Jenner appeared on Australia's "Kyle & Jackie O Show" Thursday where she talked about Kardashian and West's split. The momager wished them the best during the "hard" process. The exes share four kids — 7-year-old North, 5-year-old Saint, 3-year-old Chicago and 1-year-old Psalm.
"I think it's always going to be hard anytime... you know, there's a lot of kids," Jenner was quoted by Entertainment Tonight as saying. "The good thing about our family is that we are there for each other and supportive and we love each other very, very much so all I want is for those two kids to be happy. And I want the kids to be happy. That's the goal."
Jenner knows that each wants their family to have the "love and appreciation of one another" and that every member is "okay." So, she is giving her support to West and Kardashian.
When asked about the final season of "KUWTK" and if West and Kardashian's divorce would be one of the focus points of the season, the reality star said it was still too early to say.
"I don't know what they have decided on in the finale, we haven't even seen the first show yet," Jenner added. "I'm sure they're putting some final touches. But I think it's just a private time for them. Kim wanted to deal with this with her own family in her own time... When she feels like it, I'm sure she'll say what she needs to say."
Meanwhile, an unidentified source said earlier that Jenner decided to step in and reconnect with her son-in-law, West. She allegedly tried to help her daughter show West that "family comes first." However, the "Gold Digger" rapper was allegedly not interested because he has a lot on his plate including his Yeezy line and new music. Also, West reportedly doesn’t want his mother-in-law to get involved with his issues with his wife.
"But Kanye has had it, he doesn't want Kris to be interjecting when she isn’t his manager. Kris still plays the role of the momager for her family so she decided she couldn't sit back and watch what she felt was Kanye's lack of effort because it was hurting Kim and affecting the family," the source said.
