Kris Jenner Was ‘150 Percent’ In Love With Ex Caitlyn Jenner

Kris Jenner has opened up about her marriage with Caitlyn Jenner.

Kris sat down for a chat with Janet Mock on the “Never Before” podcast and opened up how she built her empire from nearly nothing. She also shared a glimpse into her earlier relationship with Caitlyn and how she became her manager. In the interview, she referred to her transgender ex by her former name, Bruce Jenner.

“When I met and married Bruce Jenner, I became his manager instantly because he didn’t have a lot going on,” Kris said, reports Entertainment Tonight. “I saw this incredible potential, and he wasn’t doing anything. Nobody was booking him for speeches. Nobody was sending him out on the road. I thought, Wow. You should be this incredible public speaker. I just figured it out to that point.”

Kris added that at the time, Caitlyn only had $200 in her bank account. As for her, she just finalized her divorce from Robert Kardashian Sr. After they started working together, it was only a matter of time before Kris and Caitlyn fell in love. The momager added that she was “150 percent” in love with her ex at the time, so she overlooked their finances.

“I’ve always looked at things like, ‘We’re just going to figure this out.’ I don’t stop and think about, ‘What’s the plan here?’ I just went for it,” Kris said. “I realized after we got married and I had a limited amount of money, and I said, ‘We’re going to move into this house. We’re going to work hard.’”

Kris, 61, revealed that her small team made 7,000 press kits and emailed them to all the speaker’s bureau in the country. Fortunately, their hard work and efforts paid off. Eventually, they were able to book speeches for big companies like Visa and Coca-Cola.

But although they spent two decades together and had several children, Kris and Caitlyn’s marriage ended in divorce in December 2014. Prior to this, they announced their separation in 2013. However, TMZ noted that the actual date the two had been declared officially single again was March 23, 2015, three months after their divorce was finalized.

In April 2015, Caitlyn opened up about being transgender and her transition from male to female. “My brain is much more female than it is male. . . . It’s hard for people to understand that, but that’s what my soul is,” she told Diane Sawyer in an interview for Vanity Fair. In July, Caitlyn graced the cover of Vanity Fair following her transition to a woman.
