Kristen Stewart On Balenciaga Fragrance Campaign: ?I?ve Never Worn a Scent?
Kristen Stewart's status as the world's highest paid actress hasn't stopped her from working a side job. The Snow White and the Huntsman beauty is the face of Balenciaga's newest fragrance campaign. Florabotanica, an autumnal perfume designed for younger women, boasts such enchanting scents as mint and hybrid rose. The newly released ad combines Stewart's signature detached stare with a bright, tropical print dress.
There is something natural about [the scent], Stewart told Women's Wear Daily. It's very alive. I think that as a young person wearing it - considering that I've never worn a scent - it kind of puts you on this level of, like, 'Whoa, check me out.'
Stewart was named the face of Balenciaga back in January. Nicolas Ghesquière, the company's creative director, said the decision was based on the star's unmistakable fashion choices.
Kristen embodies the modernity of the new Balenciaga fragrance with her unique sensibility and intelligence, Ghesquière told Women's Wear Daily. I've always sensed her progressive character.
The 22-year-old Twilight sensation was front and center at Balenciaga's runway show during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year. The actress also supported the high end line while attending the 2012 Costume Institute Gala in New York, donning one of their unique, mismatched pieces.
The fashion world was abuzz after her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival in May. During photocalls for On the Road, Stewart wore one of the brand's casual yet chic printed pants. She also opted for one of the company's sultry gowns for the film's premiere.
Stewart's style evolution -- her transformationfrom laid-back tomboy to red carpet sensation -- consistently makes headlines. Glamour magazine has even named her the World's Best Dressed Woman, praising to star for making the leap from awkward teen to style queen.
Stewart has certainly come a long way since the early days of her career.
Look at a picture of me before I was 15, I am a boy,' Stewart told Vanity Fair. I wore my brother's clothes, dude! Not like I cared that much, but I remember being made fun of because I wasn't wearing Juicy jeans. I didn't even think about it. I wore my gym clothes.
