Kristen Stewart Develops Interest In Music, Says It's 'Intimidating' To Try It Full Time
Kristen Stewart, a rockstar? Chances are that it could happen in future.
The “Twilight” actress has opened up about pursuing a career in music in her latest interview with Nylon magazine. "I've always really liked playing guitar and stuff, but I've really started playing music a lot [this past year]," Stewart told her friend Suzie Riemer in a video interview, titled “Carversations,” released on Nylon magazine. "Carversations" means having conversations in a car.
However, the very thought of becoming a full time musician is “intimidating” for the actress as she fears her fans, who are used to seeing her as an actress, may not accept her as a singer. “Because if you’re good at one thing, everyone’s just like, OK — and from a young age, it’s like well that’s what you’re good at,” Stewart said.
“It’s hard to step outside of that and explore other things. You’re like, 'No, that’s what I do, I just' — you know what I mean?” she added.
It is not the first time Stewart has expressed her interest in music. In 2010, the actress played the role of an iconic rocker Joan Jett in “The Runaways.” The actress not only sang in the film but also played the guitar.
Apart from discussing her interest in music, Riemer and Stewart also talked about their favorite snacks available at gas stations (Lunchables) and how she is a perfectionist when it comes to texting. For Stewart, it is very important to use correct punctuation while texting someone. She is also very particular about “how the words are laid on the page."
"People are always like, 'Nice spacing,' and I'm like 'That meant everything!'" the actress said.
Stewart, 25, is currently promoting her new movie, “American Ultra,” where she stars alongside Jesse Eisenberg. In the movie, the two play a stoner couple chased by intelligence agencies.
