Kristen Stewart And Donald Trump’s Feud, The History Behind The Fight The President Started On Twitter
Although Kristen Stewart is known for her role as Bella Swan in the popular “Twilight” franchise, she is also associated with something that is not as celebrated, her feud with Donald Trump.
Before he became U.S. President, Trump had plenty to say about the actress and her personal life. In 2012, the actress was photographed by the paparazzi cheating on her then boyfriend and “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson with her married “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders.
Although many fans were in shock over the affair, Trump called out the actress on Twitter and even gave advice to her then-boyfriend. “Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again--just watch. He can do much better!” he tweeted on Oct. 17 of that year.
The former “Celebrity Apprentice” host then said he was positive the actress would continue to be unfaithful should the pair of three years remain together.
“Everyone knows I am right that Robert Pattinson should dump Kristen Stewart. In a couple of years, he will thank me. Be smart, Robert,” Trump tweeted several days later on Oct. 22.
A month after his initial tweets, Trump continued to mention Stewart’s relationship. The future POTUS commended Pattinson for putting on a brave face when he was forced to see Stewart again so they could promote their final movie together, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.”
Stewart recently reflected on her one-sided feud with the current president during an interview with Variety. The actress insisted that initially, she didn’t really know who Trump was in 2012 because she only knew of him as a reality star. Stewart went on to explain that at the time, Trump was mad at her and “really obsessed.”
“I can’t even understand it. I literally cannot even understand it. It’s such far-out concept that I don’t want to believe that actually is happening. It’s insane,” she said.
Although Stewart and Pattinson tried to work things out after her cheating scandal, the two eventually split in 2013. Stewart has since been romantically linked to several women while Pattinson is engaged to British singer FKA Twigs.
Next up, Stewart is scheduled to host the Feb. 4 episode of “Saturday Night Live.” Although no details have been released, the NBC show is known for making fun of Trump and there is a possibility Stewart may be apart of it.
