Kristin Cavallari Admits To Having ‘Tough’ Time With Kids Amid Jay Cutler Split
Since Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler announced their split, things haven’t been easy for “The Hills” star. The 33-year-old opened up about how she has had to make drastic changes to her life amid the coronavirus pandemic.
After announcing her split from Cutler in April, Cavallari revealed that she has been having a challenging time remaining indoors and self-isolating with their three children, Camden, 7, Jaxon, 6, and Saylor, 4.
During an Instagram Live for Revolve, Cavallari revealed her kids have not been fans of attending class at home. “I will tell you, the no school thing is tough,” she explained.
“With the boys, Jaxon will not listen to me. He refuses to do work. I’m like, ‘I can’t fight with you about doing schoolwork.’ It’s too hard.”
Although she revealed her kids will live through being home school, she has realized that remaining indoors has been frustrating for everyone.
“My kids are young so that’s nice. My boys are 7 and 6 so it’s not the end of the world if they’re not sitting here doing schoolwork every day, but everyone’s going a little stir crazy because we really can’t go anywhere,” the “Very Cavallari” star shared.
The reality star went on to reveal that the pandemic has caused her to fall out of her daily routine. “With my kids, it’s like, ‘Alright, what should we do today?’ We’ve maxed out every creative idea,” she said.
“I used to wake up at 5 a.m. every morning, work out, and then I would get my kids ready for school, take them to school and go to the office. I haven’t set an alarm since all of this has been going on. It’s going to be really hard for me to get back into it. I don’t know that I can go back to that 5 a.m. lifestyle.”
On April 26, Cavallari announced her split from Cutler on Instagram. “With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of,” Cavallari in the post.
“This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.”
