Kristin Cavallari, Jay Cutler Sued For $500K After Their Dog Allegedly Bit A Cable Installer: Report

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler are facing legal charges after one of their pet dogs allegedly bit a cable and satellite installer.

E! News obtained a copy of the complaint against Cavallari and Cutler over an incident where one of their two German shepherds allegedly bit a man who was working in the area. The complaint was filed by Alabama resident Nathan Beam on Tuesday and he requested compensation of up to $500,000 for his medical expenses, emotional distress, pain and more.

The incident allegedly took place in June 2020 when he performed an installation at a house in Franklin, Tennessee that was purchased in May 2020 by the third defendant. It was not clear how the celebrity exes were connected to the property.

According to Bean, neither of the dogs were restrained or placed in a separated or enclosed area that was supposed to be part of the installation agreement. He also did not receive a warning about the dog's "dangerous" behavior.

When he was about to leave the area and on his way to the truck, he encountered one of Cutler and Cavallari's dog believed to be named "Kona." The German shepherd was standing in front of the driver's seat and when he picked up something from the ground, the dog's "mouth and teeth clamped down" on his left thumb and fingernail and they were kept there for several seconds.

Beam said he did not "entice, disturb, alarm, harass, or otherwise provoke the dog." The then couple was not present when the incident happened and one of Cavallari's assistants who was around only gave him a paper towel and told him to leave the property immediately, Beam said in his filing.

Cavallari announced the arrival of their two German shepherds in 2017. She shared a snap of them on Instagram.

"Added another living thing to the Cutler crew because yes, we have lost our minds. #TrainedKiller #DontMessWithThisCrew," she wrote in the caption.

In another post, she shared a photo of one of the German shepherds and wrote, "Beast."

Beam said he has endured visible disfigurement, scarring, lost wages and permanent impairment and disability, among other injuries after the dog bit him. He is requesting for a jury of six to try the case.

Cutler and Cavallari split in April 2020. Their friends did not find their separation surprising with some saying, "Jay had a shady side to him."
