Former "Hills" and "Laguna Beach" star Kristin Cavallari announced on Sunday that she is pregnant with Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler's baby. But the pregnancy might have come as a surprise even to them. TMZ reported Tuesday that it was "an accident." Reuters

Reality star Kristin Cavallari and Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler are expecting their first child together, the couple announced to People on Sunday.

We are thrilled to announce we are expecting our first child together, they told People. It's an amazing time in our life and we can't wait to meet the new addition to our growing family.

The couple got re-engaged in November after breaking up in late July. The couple had initially set a 2012 wedding, but Cutler, 28, abruptly broke up with Cavallari , 25, on July 23rd - just days after Cavallari showed off her wedding dress in a Life & Style photo spread.

But after their July breakup, Cutler was spotted in the stands when Cavallari appeared on ABC's Dancing with the Stars. The pair eventually started dating again and got engaged for the second time on Nov. 30th.

After initially tweeting out the news, Cavallari told People Sometimes, in order for things to get better, they have to end - even if it's momentarily.

This will be the couple's first baby together. They have not announced when the baby is due or when they expect to get married.

When the pair initially got engaged in May 2011, the former Laguna Beach star told reporters I think we both knew from the moment we met that we wanted to marry each other.
