Actress Kristy Swanson informed her Twitter followers on Monday that she took an ambulance ride to reach the hospital due to "COVID-related" health concerns.

"Prayers for me please," the 51-year-old actress wrote. "Yesterday I took an ambulance ride to the hospital. I’m still here with pneumonia, I’m on oxygen, etc, all covid related of course. I’m in good spirits and in great hands," Swanson explained in her post.

In the following thread of the same tweet, she thanked everyone for the prayers adding, "It truly means a lot to me. I can feel it."

She further updated her fans regarding her health scare and said, "Just little more clarification & update, I was just at the tail end of my Covid diagnosis when it jumped into my lungs. So they are treating me with Baricitinib & blood thinners so I don’t clot. I’m ok."

Swanson went on to reveal that she has been admitted to Virtua Memorial Hospital located in Mount Holly, New Jersey. She praised the staff members and disclosed her nurse's name, which is the same as her mother's.

"Virtua Memorial in Mount Holly NJ has been incredible," she wrote. "They are so on top it and have a wonderful staff. My night nurse is Rose and I love her because she takes care of me and that’s my mom's name...The paramedics in NJ are super pro, friggin amazing and hot AF!" the actress added.

In September, Swanson had criticized the COVID vaccine mandate, noting that it is implemented to make money for the government.

Considering the fact that the actress is against the vaccine mandate, many netizens bashed the actress on Twitter for spreading misinformation regarding vaccination. In fact, one of the users noted that the professionals at the hospital must be absolutely "gracious" as they are still treating her.

"Just imagine how gracious and professional they have to be considering you directly impacted their job by spreading Covid and vaccine misinformation, leaving them at risk and causing them to work endless hours away from their families for nearly 2 years," the user wrote.

Another user commented, "Do you wonder what Rose and the other 'hot AF' paramedics say about you beyond your earshot, considering all this could have been prevented with a simple vaccine???"

On the work front, Swanson was recently seen in a movie, "Just Another Dream," which was released in June.
