'KUWTK' Season 11 Spoilers: Lamar Odom's Hospitalization Rocks The Kardashian Family In Episode 11 [RECAP]
Things take a turn for the unexpected during Season 11, episode 11 of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Early in the show Kourtney, Kim and Khloé Kardashian begin prepping a birthday party of epic proportions, but all that is interrupted when an estranged family member finds himself in a life-threatening situation.
Shortly after learning that Scott Disick, Kourtney’s ex-boyfriend, has entered rehab, Kris, 60, gets a frantic call about Lamar Odom. The Kardashian momager is informed that Khloé’s estranged husband has been hospitalized after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel and the prognosis looks grim. (The episode was tape in October.) Although E!'s cameras do not join them, Kris, Kim, 35, and Khloé, 31, jet to the hospital to be by Lamar's side. They return home after a few days sans Khloé and try to get back to their normal lives.
Almost immediately after landing back in California, the family heads to a surprise birthday bash for Kim, organized by Kanye West. The theme of the party is Kim — guests were asked to attend dressed like her and sport baby bumps to help the very-pregnant reality star feel more comfortable. While everyone attempts to de-stress, Kris keeps her focus locked on Lamar. She fields phone calls about the legal proceedings she fears may come and continually provides updates to party attendees who ask. Boyfriend Corey Gamble attempts to get her mind back in the present, but is unsuccessful.
With Kim's party in the rear-view mirror, the Kardashian sisters are able to put the focus back on Kris' party, which they nearly canceled due to Lamar's hospitalization. Kim and Kourtney recruit little sister Kendall Jenner and her model friends to remake an old music video for Kris. They struggle with the lyrics, but manage to get it all together in the nick of time. Meanwhile, Corey pushes Kris to relax, forcing her to take a day off work and indulge in drinks, massages and non-stressful things. During their day off spent together he reminds her that she has only one life to live and she should be more present and less occupied by her work.
