Kyle Richards' Husband Mauricio Umansky Praises, Supports Her Amid Drama With Sister Kathy Hilton
KEY POINTS
- Mauricio Umansky said "RHOBH" did not show most of the real stuff between Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton
- Umansky is a supportive husband to Richards, and he believes she is right amid her drama with her sister
- Richards' husband also complimented her for being a good and strong person
Kyle Richards got her husband Mauricio Umansky's support amid her drama with her half-sister Kathy Hilton.
Umansky weighed in on Richards and Hilton's ongoing feud. According to Richards' better half, it was not easy to watch the siblings' drama on TV.
"It was really hard [to watch]," Umansky, 52, exclusively told Us Weekly. "I know a lot of the stuff that's going on in the background, which isn't exactly what's being put out there. ... Being supportive of Kyle, I think Kyle's a hundred percent in the right here without question."
He continued, "I think that it's sad the way it's being portrayed, the way it's being received and what's going on. But Kyle's so strong, and she's such a good person that she's not even out there really trying to defend herself too much and she's just taking it in the chin, like the strong person that she is."
Richards and Hilton got into a fight when the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" Season 12 cast traveled to Aspen. The alleged fight was not captured on camera, but Lisa Rinna later claimed in a confessional that Hilton had "an absolute meltdown" while venting about her relationship with Richards.
There was a tense reunion among the cast earlier this month, but Richards was willing to mend fences with Hilton.
"I've always said, I always forgive and forget. I care about all these people up here," she said during the cast's BravoCon panel in October. "I love her, she's my sister, of course. ... I don't wanna fight with anybody. My friends or my sis."
Just like Richards, the "I Want to Be a Hilton" personality was open to mending fences with her sibling. Hilton skipped the BravoCon convention panel but said she wanted to reconcile with Richards because they're sisters, and "nobody's going to come between us."
"With my cousins, we do try to keep it separate as much as possible," Farrah Brittany, Richards' daughter with ex-husband Guraish Aldjfrie, told Us Weekly during her joint interview with Mauricio. "We are very close, so we try not to get involved in their stuff, but, you know, I always will have my mom's back."
Meanwhile, Hilton and Rinna are also feuding, and the former denied the latter's allegations that she had a meltdown in Aspen. Hilton even called Rinna the "biggest bully in Hollywood."
Rinna seemingly laughed off her "bully" reputation and even marked Halloween by sharing a photo of a pumpkin decorated to look like her with pump lips, short highlighted hair and a leopard-print scarf with a stick note that read "The Biggest Bully in Hollywood."
