  • Critics called Jenner out online, with one accusing her of being a "climate criminal"

Kylie Jenner received huge backlash on social media for flaunting her and boyfriend Travis Scott’s private jets and allegedly using hers to take short flights.

On Friday, the 24-year-old mom-of-two posted on Instagram a black-and-white photo of her hugging the 31-year-old rapper in front of their private jets, with the caption, “you wanna take mine or yours?”

However, the post did not receive the reaction that Jenner may have expected, especially after social media users noticed that her jet reportedly takes regular flights amounting to less than 15 minutes each.

While it is not confirmed whether Jenner was on the plane at the time, a post by the Twitter account @CelebJets said that her jet flew from Camarillo, California, to Van Nuys, California, on July 12. The account estimated that the trip would take only three minutes as opposed to a 45-minute drive.

The page later clarified that the total flight time ended up being 17 minutes.

Records also showed that her plane flew from Van Nuys to Camarillo for a 12-minute trip Saturday.

Critics slammed Jenner across Twitter and Instagram, with one user accusing her of being a “full-time climate criminal” and saying that their jets shouldn’t have been allowed to take off.

Another person tweeted that they had to sacrifice convenience by riding a bike to work, using paper straws and limiting beef consumption just to reduce their carbon footprint.

“80% of people have never taken a plane, and Kylie Jenner is out here taking regular 10-minute flights, five flights in the last week under 30 minutes, one was 3 minutes long. Her carbon footprint for one 10-minute flight is more than some people make in a year,” a third user commented.

Another person wrote, “I still recycle, I use stainless steel straws, compost, and everything else I can to reduce my footprint and we all should, but we've been gaslit to think that we're responsible for climate change when it's the elite class and fossil fuel companies who are largely responsible.”

Flying private can produce eight times more emissions per person than comparable flights on commercial carriers, one study showed.

This wasn’t the first time the beauty mogul was slammed on social media this year.

During one episode of “The Kardashians” in May, she and her mom Kris Jenner, 66, were filmed grocery shopping and bringing their car to a drive-thru car wash at a gas station.

A number of viewers reportedly felt “uncomfortable” that the mother-daughter duo found “novelty” in such ordinary activities, according to BuzzFeed News. One user even called it gross and “out of touch.”

“'The Kardashians' thought the 'day of normal errands' with Kris and Kylie would be cute, but it's so gross. We know they're out of touch, we don't need to see just how out of touch. Kris didn't know how to use her credit card and was so excited to push the cart. Is she 5?” the person wrote.

Jenner and Scott have yet to address the private jet controversy.
