Kylie Jenner Has A Blast At Friend Stassie Karanikolaou’s Birthday Bash

Kylie Jenner flouted social-distancing rules to celebrate best friend Stassie Karanikolaou’s 23^rd birthday Monday (June 8).

In a snapshot taken during birthday festivities, the 22-year-old reality show star is seen cozying up with her friends. Kylie, Stassie, and the rest of their gang are seen dressed in matching black sweatsuits. The crew completed the look with white sneakers.

Paying tribute to her friend, Jenner wrote on Instagram that she is the "best aunty to my baby girl." “I cherish every year we've spent together and I thank God for putting you in my life,” she added. “I wouldn't be able to do it without you [sic]."

The post was accompanied by images from their last Halloween party -- where the two dressed as Playboy Playmates -- to several other throwback pictures.

While the photographs generally garnered positive feedback, a number of Instagram users slammed the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star for flouting California’s lockdown rules by not maintaining social-distancing.

According to the new ruling, gatherings of up to 10 people are allowed at a time, provided they maintain social-distancing.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Kylie has come under fire. Kylie was criticized on Instagram Sunday (June 7) when she was seen going to Nobu Malibu with Fai Khadra, a family friend. She was spotted without a mask at the time.

In April, too, Kylie courted controversy for allowing Stassie to visit frequently amid COVID-19 lockdown. Even as Kylie urged others to stay at home and obey lockdown rules, she and Stassie posted photos and videos of them dancing and sunbathing together.

In March, Kylie used her social media presence to urge her millions of followers to self-quarantine following U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams' call for help. "Please stay inside, practice social distancing, self-quarantine,” she said in an Instagram video message at the time.

Kylie was recently stripped of her billionaire status by Forbes magazine after the publication revealed that the cosmetics mogul had exaggerated the documents she provided. Forbes had earlier named Kylie the world's youngest self-made billionaire. But according to recent calculations, her net worth is just under $900 million.

Denying that she misrepresented her business’ financials, Kylie wrote on Twitter: “i’ve never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. Period.”
