Kylie Jenner Settles Suit With Artist Who Claims She Copied Temptation Logo
Kylie Jenner has settled the lawsuit over the controversial "Temptation Neon" logo.
Back in July, Jenner was sued for allegedly plagiarizing Sara Pope's work with her "Temptation Neon" logo, which she used to promote E!'s "Life of Kylie." Pope claimed that she created the artwork, which features a bright, glossy set of lips in a lip bite pose, in 2015. The artist accused Jenner of copying the graphic for her reality show, TMZ reported.
Jenner opted to settle the lawsuit and has reached the pact on "confidential terms" with Pope, leading the latter to file a notice of voluntary case dismissal over the weekend, according to the court papers obtained by Daily News. The publication added that Pope dismissed her action "with prejudice" in an online filing dated Saturday. Thus, she would be barred from bringing the same case to court again.
In Pope's lawsuit, she said that Jenner's "Temptation Neon" logo was nearly identical to her work. "Defendants sought to build a brand through artwork that captures glamour, intimacy, and power. By their zeal, they found 'Temptation Neon,' and they copied it for their own profit – without consent, credit, or compensation," she claimed.
In her original filing, Pope also highlighted Jenner and her sister Kendall Jenner's unlicensed used of Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur and other music icons' photos for their t-shirts.
In related news, Jenner is rumored to be expecting her first child with Travis Scott. The reality star has remained mum about the pregnancy reports so far, but she also dropped a few hints about her bun in the oven on social media.
For instance, she usually keeps her midsection out of sight in the selfies she recently shares on Instagram. If does she show her upper body, she usually wears an oversized t-shirt to conceal her rumored growing baby bump or cover it with a puffy winter jacket.
Last week, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star shared a clip where she only wears a sports bra. However, she was very careful to only show the top of her tummy. In another post, the reality star shared photos of two waffles drenched in syrup. and homemade cinnamon rolls with icing, sparking speculation that these were Jenner's pregnancy cravings.
