Kylie Jenner Teases Birthday Collection Release After ‘Life Of Kylie’ Lawsuit
Kylie Jenner has a lot of things to look forward to next month but that doesn’t mean she isn’t dealing with her fair share of drama. The 19-year-old, who is enjoying her final days as a teen, will be launching a Birthday Collection from her cosmetic line.
Excited about the new makeup that will be hitting her site in a matter of days, the reality star teased some of the glosses and shadows featured in the special edition box just hours after news surfaced that she is being sued.

On Wednesday, Jenner shared several videos on her Instagram story revealing what makeup lovers can expect from her latest collection. The star posted a video featuring two new lip glosses, one called “Cupcake” which displays a faint pink color, and “Cherry Pie,” a bold statement gloss featuring a shade of red.
Jenner also shared several swatches of the shadows with fun names like “Party Time,” “New Year, New Me” and more that will appear in the “I Want It All” birthday book portion of the collection.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star, who will turn 20-years-old on Aug. 10, plans to launch the Kylie Cosmetics Birthday Collection on Aug. 1 at 3 p.m. PDT.
The Birthday Collection will consist of brushes, a palette, new Ultra Glow highlighters and lipsticks as well as two new shades of Ultra Glow highlighters named “King,” featuring a gold color, and “Queen,” which resembles a rosy pink.
Although Jenner is known for her flawless makeup, the latest depiction of glossy lips associated with her name has landed the reality star in some hot water. A painter named Sara Pope is suing Jenner and NBC Universal for using her Temptation Logo to promote her upcoming reality series, “Life of Kylie,” according to TMZ.
Pope, whose artwork has been featured in galleries located in Japan, Los Angeles, New York and the U.K., isn’t happy the Jenner allegedly ripped off her hard work.
The artist’s temptation logo featured a glossy set of lips in the lip biting pose outlined with a neon light. Jenner’s promotion for the E! reality series features a similar visual. Not long after filing her lawsuit, a source close to the production of the series has come forward and claimed Jenner was not involved with the “Life of Kylie” artwork, insisting a third party created it and the star was not involved in the design process.

While filing legal documents against Jenner, Pope noted that the teen has a history of making other people’s things her own citing the scandal in which the reality star and her sister Kendall Jenner sold Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur shirts without permission from their respective estates.
Although the Jenners have pulled the T-shirts from their site, the sisters received plenty of backlash online. While Pope has only stepped into the beginning stages of her lawsuit, it appears the E! YouTube page has pulled the promo for the show which features the lips that resemble the artwork.
