La Toya Jackson Set to Have Her Own Reality Show
Oprah Winfrey's OWN network announced earlier this week that La Toya Jackson, 56, will have her own reality show on the network premiering next year.
Jackson's rep told CNN in a statement on her behalf that she is "so pleased to be working with television legend Oprah Winfrey and to be a part of the OWN family. This will be one of the most exciting adventures of [LaToya's] life." The show will be titled "Life With LaToya."
While she has a show in the works, La Toya Jackson's family has been publicly feuding the Jackson estate. She herself has not taken part in the drama, which resulted in Janet Jackson and her siblings, Randy, Rebbie and Jermaine Jackson being barred from Michael Jackson's Calabasas, Calif., home, shared by his children, Paris, 14, Prince, 15, Blanket, 10, and their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, 82
La Toya's reality program is expected to get "up close and personal" as she "juggles the many demands of her famous family, her life-long friends, and her growing entertainment business empire," a statement from OWN says.
This will not be the first time the Jackson member has taken part in reality television. Back in 2009, La Toya Jackson lived in the Celebrity Big Brother UK house.
It remains to be seen whether or not her siblings will appear on the show as well, but OWN network is excited about the upcoming project. Sheri Salata, the network's co-president, stated, "We are delighted to work with La Toya to bring this new show to OWN viewers."
