Labor Day is about honoring the working public, and restaurants are doing their part by giving customers deals and freebies on food this weekend. In honor of the 2017 holiday on Monday, Sept. 4, restaurant chains nationwide will be offering free or heavily discounted food to its patrons. Different rules and stipulations apply for each deal, so read carefully.

Hungry Howie’s

Talk about a steal! On Labor Day, customers at Hungry Howie’s can get a pizza for just five cents. Entering the code “LaborDay” during online checkout will result in one medium, round, one-topping pizza for the discounted price. Customers must order one large, round, one-topping pizza at menu price in order to get the deal. This deal is valid through Sept. 4 and some restrictions do apply. The deal is only available for one-time use and cannot be combined with any other offer. The discount will be applied to the pizza of lesser value. Thin crust, deep dish and extra large pizza are excluded. Check with your local store to see if they’re participating .

IKEA

IKEA is known for more than just affordable furniture, they’re also famous for their food! If you’re planning to drop at least $100 (or more before tax) at IKEA store this Labor Day weekend, consider stopping into IKEA’s dine-in restaurant for a free meal. To get this offer, you’ll have to sign up for their Family Member loyalty program, which is free. Then simply get a meal at the restaurant in IKEA, get your coupon at the restaurant’s register and when you go to check out with your items, hand in your coupon for a freebie meal.

This offer is valid for new IKEA Family members only. There is only one restaurant receipt given per store discount. This is not valid for IKEA gift card purchases. This deal is valid Sept. 2-4.

Firehouse Subs

You can get a free medium-sized Firehouse Sub with this coupon with the purchase of any additional medium or large sub sandwich, chips and a drink on Labor Day. This deal is only valid on Sept. 4 at participating locations. You must have the coupon at checkout to qualify and you cannot combine the deal with any other offers.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill

It’s not a free meal, but it’s a heavily discounted one. Every Monday, visit your nearest location for a 3-course dinner for the value price of $12.99. The deal includes an entree, soup or salad and more for those dining after 3 p.m.

Boston Market

Boston Market has two deals you’ll love. Sept. 2-3 customers can use this coupon to get a BOGO offer. Buying one individual meal and a drink will give you one individual meal for free. This deal can only be used for in-restaurant purchases. If those items are not up your alley, Boston Market is also offering 25 percent off any family meal purchase through Sept. 4. Like the first deal, this is only for in-restaurant purchases and cannot be combined with any other offers.
