Labor Day Sales: Macy's, Best Buy, Lowe's and More Offering Unbeatable Deals Monday
If you are in the market for anything from an HDTV to a new car to new sheets to new underwear, Labor Day is the day to get the best deals. Department and speciality store sales throughout the nation are offering some of the most competitive Labor Day discounts we have seen in years.
The best all-around storewides sales are happening at Macy's, JC Penny, Best Buy, Sears, Kohl's, and Lowe's -- the latter is offering up to 84% off select items.
Best Buy is living up to its name and offering HDTVs for up to $1200 off -- just in time to kick off football season. Go to Bestbuy.com to scan the best deals -- like a Samsung 46 inch LCD HDTV for $999.99 or an oversized, over-the-top Samsung 55 inch 3-D HD TV deeply discounted to $1999.99. And Target's Biggest TV Event Ever is selling HDTVs for as low as $299.99.
Labor Day weekend is the best time to take advantage of sales on previous model-year automobiles while the inventory is still strong. A number of department stores are offering competitive sales on beds and linens, to freshen up your home for the fall. Macy's storewide stale includes the lowest prices of the season on mattresses, and Overstock.com is offering up to 46% off its already deep discounts on bedroom furniture, bedding, and accessories, along with a $100 price slash on Serta mattresses.
With a little extra work, amazing deals can be found a Victoria's Secret: Shoppers who provide the coupon code 7VSPANTY at the checkout can get seven pairs of panties for $25.48 -- that's less than $4 a pair. And the coupon code FALL11 will earn customers graduated overall discounts based on the amount of the sale: From $15 off a $100 purchase to $150 off a total sale of $500.
Online shoppers willing to provide their email addresses will be included in Circuit City's Private Invitation sale on HDTVs, which rivals Best Buy's discounts with reductions up to 68%. That sale continues through this week.
