Lady Gaga Can't Walk From 'Show Injury;' Cancels Tour For A Week
Lady Gaga is suffering from severe pain and must let her Little Monsters down by canceling her tour for a week.
The self-proclaimed “Mother Monster” revealed she cannot walk because of her injury and tried to hide it from her team for as long as possible so she could continue to work and please her Little Monsters.
The singer posted a series of tweets on Tuesday afternoon where she laid out all the details of her injury.
She began by saying:
“There's an unfortunate announcement coming out right now, concerning myself and the Born This Ball. Im so sorry. I barely know what to say.”
Then she wrote:
"I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened. I've been praying it would heal."
According to Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, she is suffering from synovitis, a severe inflammation of the joints.
Though she made it clear that she didn’t want to displease any Little Monster, she didn’t give details about how she suffered the injury.
She said she concealed the injury, waiting until she couldn’t walk until she finally came clean about her pain saying, “I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans."
"However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can't," she tweeted.
The last concert Gaga performed from her “Born This Way Ball Tour” was in Montreal on Monday night.
"It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry," she tweeted.
According to the 26-year-old entertainer, her Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, Ontario, shows have been postponed under doctor's orders, she said.
"To the fans in Chicago Detroit & Hamilton I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. Im devasted & sad," Gaga tweeted.
