Lady Gaga Gives Blackpink A Shoutout While Listening To 'Sour Candy'

Lady Gaga earned the attention of many Blackpink fans after she shared a new clip of her grooving to their song, "Sour Candy," on social media.

The singer shared the short clip on Instagram on Monday, and she sported a casual look with light makeup and a huge gold chain necklace. What made the clip more interesting was the fact that Gaga wore a black-colored Blackpink t-shirt, which featured the striking visuals of Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo.

Devoted followers of Blackpink were quick to notice that the t-shirt Gaga sported on her recent video was part of the group’s exclusive merchandise. “So sweet then I get a lil angry,” the “Mother Monster” hitmaker wrote in the caption. She even tagged her very own beauty brand called Haus Laboratories.

Gaga’s post effortlessly garnered 1.6 million views just six hours since it was uploaded. While some think it is just a random clip, some of her fans suggested it could mean that the “Paparazzi” singer is brewing another project with Blackpink.

To recall, Gaga collaborated with the K-pop group in 2020 for the “Sour Candy” track. The song was released a day before her sixth studio album titled “Chromatica” was released.

“Sour Candy” performed well in terms of streaming and digital downloads. The track debuted at No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100, which gave Blackpink their 25th top 40 hit and Lady Gaga her 25th top 40 hit. It also won the International Collaboration award at the 2020 MTV Millennial Awards in Brazil.

Meanwhile, Gaga is reported to appear on the long-awaited “Friends” reunion, which is scheduled to be aired on May 27 on HBO Max. It was previously reported there would be no new episodes of the popular television series as its cast would mostly talk about their experiences while working on the show.

Apart from the details of the highly anticipated reunion, the list of guests was also publicized recently. Other than Gaga, celebrities who are scheduled to grace the show include Malala Yousafzai, Justin Bieber, Cara Delevingne, Kit Harington, BTS, Mindy Kaling, David Beckham, Cindy Crawford, and James Corden, among others.
