The highly anticipated Super Bowl 50 opened with Lady Gaga’s stunning rendition of the U.S. national anthem. The singer’s amazing performance even had Hollywood celebrities taking to Twitter to share their feedback.
Lady Gaga’s national anthem performance was one of the memorable events during Sunday’s Super Bowl 50. Her powerful vocals rocked the Levi’s Stadium as she delivered an operatic version of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” USA Today stated. The “Born This Way” crooner mesmerized fans as she hit every note and even thumped her chest towards the end of the song, just before six fighter jets flew overhead.
Hollywood stars took to Twitter to express their admiration over Lady Gaga’s national anthem rendition, according to Entertainment Weekly. Khloe Kardashian wrote in her Twitter post that the singer “killed” the performance and added that she was “happy” for the multi-awarded artist. Gene Simmons also took to the social media site and stated that Lady Gaga “did a solid job” in singing “The Star-Spangled Banner.” He also described the singer’s national anthem performance as “impressive.”
Meanwhile, Gigi Hadid remarked on Twitter that she had goosebumps after hearing Lady Gaga sing the national anthem. “W O W @ladygaga, that performance! The song ended 10 minutes ago and I still have goosebumps. What a legend,” she wrote. Actress and director Elizabeth Banks was also mesmerized with the Golden Globe awardee and shared that the performance made her cry. “Lady Gaga/troops/flyover made me cry. #ladywatching #SB50,” she stated on Twitter.

Apart from Lady Gaga’s powerful vocals, the singer also impressed viewers with her fashion choice during the Super Bowl 50. She wore a glittering red two piece suit from Gucci and custom-made platform sandals also by the same designer, Huffington Post Canada reported. One was a blue glittery sandal, while the other was colored red and white. Both bore animal medallions on the front of the sandals. A picture of Lady Gaga’s shoes was also shared on social media through the Twitter account @ladygagaloo.
