Lady Gaga-Taylor Kinney Update: Everyone Wants Them Back Together, Insider Says

Just like the fans, those who love Taylor Kinney and Lady Gaga want to see them get back together. The internet was shocked when the “American Horror Story: Hotel” star confirmed she and her fiancé split July 19.

“Both of their families are upset,” an insider told Us Weekly in an exclusive interview Friday.

They couple was together for five years. Kinney famously proposed on Valentine’s Day in 2015 with a massive heart-shaped Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring.

It’s not just the families who are sad. Kinney’s friends on “Chicago Fire” are taking the breakup to heart, too. “Everyone is hoping they get back together… And his costars tell him that they miss her,” an insider said.

Gaga took to Instagram to address the split the day after their broken engagement made headlines. “Taylor and I have always believed we are soul mates,” she wrote. “Just like all couples, we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared.”

The couple is currently living in different states. “She's working on an album, he's working on his show, they aren't in the same state, it was just hard,” an insider told People Magazine after their split. “They both love each other very much and they want it to work. It's just been tough with the long distance.”

She sang away her woes during a surprise appearance at Rose Bar in New York City Wednesday, Extra reported Thursday. It was the first time she performed since her breakup. “She bantered a lot with the crowd,” a source told the publication. “She was talking about the value of friendship and how much she enjoys playing music with her friends.” Gaga sang six songs, including classics like “Smile,” “La Vie en Rose,” “Bang Bang,” and “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love.”
