Fashion capital of the world, Paris, has been under the spotlight recently for a number of reasons. The nine-day fashion displays at Paris by designers like Rick Owens and Jack Posen have been wowing fashion insiders with new creations and designs. However, it was mega star Lady Gaga who stole the show with her first modeling debut at the Mugler's autumn-winter 2011-12 ready-to-wear show on Wednesday.

Clad in a figure-hugging latex dress at first and then in a white pencil skirt with a corset, Gaga modeled for her stylist Nicola Formichetti who is also the creative director of the Mugler label. The collection was Formichetti’s first womenswear creation for the brand displaying, once again, his unique style of blending fashion with pop culture.

Gaga’s high-impact debut was accompanied by her new single “Government Hooker” which played on the soundtrack as she effortlessly sashayed on the ramp in her impossibly high wedges. Fashion connoisseurs were also able to follow the show as it streamed live on Facebook.
