No one will ever forget the infamous “shut up and dribble” encounter between LeBron James and television reporter Laura Ingraham in 2018. Two years later, James is back lambasting the 56-year-old who blatantly – and recklessly – supported Drew Brees’ controversial stand on the kneeling protest in the NFL.

Ingraham earned the ire of the NBA superstar anew after she served her unwavering opinion Wednesday night on "The Ingraham Angle.” In her statement, she said: "He's (Brees) allowed to have his view about what kneeling and the flag mean to him. He's a person. This is beyond football."

James posted his counter on Thursday as he sounded triggered by the apparent double standards set by the female TV host.

“If you still haven’t figured out why the protesting is going on. Why we’re acting as we are is because we are simply F-N tired of this treatment right here! Can we break it down for you any simpler than this right here? And to my people don’t worry I won’t stop until I see,” the four-time NBA MVP wrote as a caption to a mash-up video that highlighted Ingraham’s seemingly one-sided school of thought.

Brees, meanwhile, has already apologized after drawing a massive backlash from his statement labeling some of the NFL players’ kneeling protest as a disrespect to the American flag.

“I know that there’s not much I can say that would make things any better right now. I just want you to see in my eyes how sorry I am for the comments that I made yesterday. I know that it hurt many people, especially friends, teammates, former teammates, loved ones, people that I care and respect deeply,” the veteran New Orleans quarterback said.

“I am sorry, and I will do better, and I will be a part of the solution. And I am your ally. And I know no words will do that justice.”

The latest call out from James is just one of the continuing protests from the Black community that cries for immediate and fair justice following the death of George Floyd – a victim of yet another police brutality.

James followed up his response to Ingraham with a resounding call for “CHANGE!” And as one of the most influential figures even outside of basketball, the 35-year-old is making sure that his message is sent across.
