  • LeBron James insists he has no say on trade movements
  • Frank Vogel hints on possible trade
  • James focuses on making team better

LeBron James insisted that he does not have any business as to the possible moves the Lakers' front office is about to execute coming into the NBA trade deadline on Thursday.

Several names have emerged as potential acquisitions that Rob Pelinka – and James as initially thought - could work from. But the 35-year-old superstar negated the assumption as he evaded questions about his team’s plan before the deadline.

“That’s a Rob question,” LeBron told reporters when asked about the matter after Monday’s shootaround. “I can’t speak on what Rob is thinking about right now or what our front office is thinking about.”

James said that getting better as a team is where he puts the most important consideration at the moment, especially that the group is still at the grieving stage of Kobe Bryant’s death.

“For me, as the leader of the team right now, I’m thinking about how we can continue to get better, continue to lean on each other during this difficult time for us as we continue to get over what’s most important,” James continued.

For some reason, LeBron James has always been perceived as being like an assistant general manager dressed in a jersey. Even in his previous teams, he has developed a reputation for influencing the respective front offices as he has allegedly pushed his personal preferences on roster movements.

With James completely shutting down the claim, the unproven suspicion should stay as it is. He insisted, “I have no idea on the question that you asked, but I know we can all just continue to support each other no matter what’s going on.”

Among the names being linked to the Lakers are Derrick Rose, Bogdan Bognadovic and even a returning Darren Collison just to name a few. Kyle Kuzma, meanwhile, has been the constant name being rumored to be traded away by the team.

On whether this could come into fruition, coach Frank Vogel hinted, “If there’s ways to improve our team, like every other team in the NBA, if there’s a way to improve your team, you’re going to try to do it.”
