Lamar Odom Twitter Reaction: Magic, Shaq, Wade And Other NBA Players Send Support For Ex Laker’s Recovery

Following reports on Tuesday that former Los Angeles Lakers superstar Lamar Odom had been hospitalized for an alleged drug overdose, some of the NBA’s biggest stars shared their hopes and prayers for his recovery on Twitter.
The 35-year-old Odom was reportedly found unconscious and unresponsive by an employee at the Love Ranch South, a brothel in Pahrump, Nevada, and was taken to nearby Desert View Hospital and eventually transferred to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he remains in a coma and on a ventilator.
Odom, who was allegedly taking an herbal substitute for Viagra, underwent an MRI that found he suffered multiple strokes, and cocaine and opiates were also found in his system, according to TMZ.
A source also told ESPN on Wednesday that Odom is “fighting for his life” and that the next 48 hours are critical to his recovery. Former teammate Kobe Bryant, who was in Las Vegas for a Lakers preseason game, reportedly went to the hospital with general manager Mitch Kupchak to visit Odom.
Over the course of 14 years in the NBA and winning two championships with the Lakers, Odom gathered a bevy of superstar teammates and friends and many of them took to social media to express concern and personal vigils.

What most people don't realize about Lamar Odom is that he's a better person than he is a basketball player.

Every year Lamar Odom was with the Lakers, he would buy the rookies their first 2-3 custom suits, that's what type of guy he is.

Former Celtics turned Clippers forward Paul Pierce, who battled Odom’s Laker teams twice in the NBA Finals, also extended support to his former foe.
