Lamar Odom Update: Khloé Kardashian's Husband Spent A 'Fortune On Drugs,' 'KUTWK' Star Paying For Medical Expenses

Despite reports suggesting that Khloé Kardashian is facing issues with husband Lamar Odom and his family, a report by Radar Online said that the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star is still taking care of all of the former NBA star's expenditures. Odom, who was found unconscious at a brothel in Las Vegas on Oct. 13, turned 36 on Friday.

“Lamar is still a rich man on paper, but he’s cash poor because most of his savings are tied up,” a source told Radar Online adding: “He burned through an absolute fortune on drugs and hookers this past year or two, so finding immediate funds for these huge private health care bills is getting difficult.”

“Khloe told them to send her the bill,” the source also said, adding: “Money is the least of her worries right now — she just wants Lamar back on his feet as soon as possible.”

Odom is suspected to have overdosed on cocaine and other drugs before he fell unconscious in Las Vegas. Currently the basketball player is being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and is reportedly able to move around with the support of a walker and people helping him up. However, the reports added that his brain injury was still considered serious as Odom suffered several strokes before he fell unconscious.

Kardashian and Odom got married in 2009 and signed divorce papers in July. But amid Odom’s medical crisis, Kardashian got the divorce cancelled. Initial reports suggested that Kardashian, who is dating Houston Rockets player James Harden, was getting back with Odom, but she denied the speculations in an interview. Since then, she is reportedly being slammed by Odom’s friends and family for not getting back together with Odom yet taking all his medical decisions for him.

On Friday, the Kardashian family reached Cedars-Sinai to celebrate Odom’s birthday by his bedside and he was very touched by the gesture, a report by Hollywood Life said, citing a source. “Everyone’s in great spirits, mainly Lamar,” a source told Hollywood Life adding: “The overwhelming love and support Khloé and her family have shown him is incredibly phenomenal.”

“He’s never been happier,” the source also said, adding: “He’s thanked each and every one of them for their love and support. He’s truly grateful.”

Odom’s birthday comes despite reports saying that there was nasty fight between Odom and Kardashian after which he told her get out of the room. A report on Wednesday also cited a post by Odom’s cousin Sherae Clark-Williams, who said that Kardashian had forced her to sign a non-disclosure agreement about Kim Kardashian West’s two-year-old daughter. The report cited a Facebook post by Clark-Williams, who said that the incident happened when she had gone to visit Odom at the Sunrise hospital in Las Vegas.
