Lana Rhoades has always wanted to be a porn star but now regrets entering the adult film industry.
Rhoades had a relatively short career in professional porn, having started shooting adult films in early 2016 and quitting in late 2017. Now 24, she recently revealed that she has always wanted to be the most famous adult entertainer, a goal that she had accomplished during her brief porn stint.
"For me as a kid, I had a lot going on at home. Well, first of all, before I even start this, I want to start with, yes, I am the no. 1 porn star in the world and that was my goal since I was a kid, which sounds so strange," Rhoades said in the ninth episode of her, Olivia Davis and Alexa Adams' podcast "3 Girls 1 Kitchen."
"However, now, I'm deeply ashamed of what I did and if I could give all my money back and everything I would. I do not want to be the no. 1 porn star in the world," she added.
Rhoades went on to say that she hated it and even found it "gross." The OnlyFans star made it clear that the reason she mentioned it was not to brag but to give the audience a clear picture of how her childhood influenced her career.
Discussing her childhood, Rhoades said she grew up with a sister suffering from schizophrenia. She described their home as a "wreck," with someone trying to take their own lives every week in front of her.
"It was just traumatic as f--k. And so I think my escape from it was watching Anna Nicole Smith, watching 'The Girls Next Door,'" she explained.
"And thinking wow, their life was so glamorous and beautiful," she continued. "I want to do that whenever I grow up and it just so happens that the like glamour modeling and like Playboy was dead by our generation, so the thing closest to it was doing porn. So sort of to escape my reality I just imagined that I was like the most famous porn star in the world and I was like this glamorous Nicole Smith style person or party of Playboy and that's the type of stuff that I was writing down."
Rhoades also admitted to watching videos as part of her manifestation. She studied every single porn star such as Jenna Jameson and Savannah from a young age during her free time. She believes those visualizations helped her achieve her goals.
This is not the first time Rhoades has opened up about her former career as an adult entertainer and her childhood.
She previously revealed in a September episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that she knew she “was going to be a porn star from probably like the age of 13, or maybe 12.”
Rhoades admitted that she didn’t realize “what you actually have to do to be in that position.” She revealed that she never thought about the complexity of the industry she entered until she was about to shoot her first sex scene.
“It’s just being young and naïve,” she said.
Since leaving the porn industry, Rhoades has focused on social media, her e-commerce ventures and OnlyFans. She has been dating boyfriend Mike Majlak for nearly a year.
