Lance Bass Gives Kim Kardashian Robbery Update After She Was Held At Gunpoint In Paris
“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Kim Kardashian has essentially gone into hiding since she was held at gunpoint in a Paris hotel last month and it could be a long time before she ends her self-imposed hiatus. The reality star and her famous family need time to recover from the incident, where an estimated $11 million in jewels was stolen, former 'NSync member Lance Bass told Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday.
“She’s kind of staying out of the limelight for right now and just kind of recovering from this,” Bass said. “This is going to live with her for a very long time. It’s very sad.”
Bass received a first-hand account of the incident from Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner. “Of course, the family was devastated over it. I mean, it’s something that I don’t think people are going to get over for a very long time,” he said. “That’s got to be a traumatic experience.”
It's unclear exactly how long Kardashian will avoid the media, but Bass believes she has enough support. “You couldn’t ask for a better family to go through something like this together,” he said.
In fact, Kardashian, 36, has slowly begun to emerge from her cocoon. On Tuesday, she posed for a picture with Cameron Sterling, the son of Alton Sterling, alongside husband Kanye West outside his concert at the Forum in Inglewood, California. She flashed a smile, wearing a baseball cap and oversized clothes.
Alton Sterling was shot and killed by police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in July. At the time, the “Selfish” author took to her blog to speak out.
“This week we watched Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, two innocent black men, get senselessly murdered by police officers,” Kardashian wrote on July 8. “Like a lot of you guys, I watched the videos, and was appalled and completely heartbroken. I was left speechless, angry and numb.”
