Larry David admits in the teaser of his upcoming documentary that he's a "total fraud" and he had no clue what he would do for a living before reaching the age of 25.

HBO Documentary Films took to Twitter Wednesday to drop a one-minute teaser of "The Larry David Story." The documentary, which is composed of two episodes, will premiere next month.

The teaser opens with Larry saying, "I never thought of myself as being funny. Anything I was associated with that could be successful was a shock."

The 74-year-old comedian goes on to share that he was clueless about the work he would do until he turned 25. He then recalls how his mom checked up on him over the phone after he began doing comedy.

"Larry, do they like you? Do they tell you you're doing a good job?" he quotes his mother as saying.

"Yeah, Ma, they like me. The show is number one in the country," he reportedly responded to her.

But his mother asked him again, "Yeah, but did they tell you? Do they think you're doing well?"

At some point in the teaser, Larry says, "I'm a total fraud. The 'Curb' outlet, for me, is this guy who I want to be. He's completely honest, just the opposite of who I am."

"Larry David, in his own words," HBO Documentaries' official account wrote in the caption of the clip. "#LarryDavidStory, the two-part @HBO original documentary premieres with back to back episodes March 1 at 10PM on @HBOMax."

Comments from excited fans started pouring in as soon as the teaser was released.

One of them wrote, "The television event of the decade." Another fan commented, "We've wanted this for a long time."

On the work front, Larry appears in the TV series "Toast of Tinseltown," which premiered last month. He has also been a regular in the sitcom "Curb Your Enthusiasm" since 2000. The comedian is also part of the cast of "The Super Bob Einstein Movie," which came out on Dec. 28, 2021.

Larry was married to activist Laurie David from 1993 to 2007. The former couple shares two children — Cazzie David and Romy David. In 2020, the comedian tied the knot with Ashley Underwood after dating her for three years.
