'The Last Kingdom' Season 4: Brief Scenes Teased Ahead Of Premiere

New teaser scenes of “The Last Kingdom” Season 4 have been released online ahead of the premiere. Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon) will be back to take on new challenges this year, and one of the battles he has to fight will be against his uncle to reclaim his lands.

A brief clip that has been released on the official Instagram page of the TV series shows Uhtred approaching his loyal followers Beocca (Ian Hart) and Hild (Eva Birthistle) with some good news. While the teaser is very short, the post is being used to bring the good news to the fans that the premiere of the show is just a few days away.

Another clip that has been released online shows Aelfric (Joseph Millson) trying to motivate the soldiers before facing a major attack. He and a few soldiers inside a fortress have the hard task of defending against an unseen enemy, and according to Aelfric it is vital to defend the fortress.

The first scene in “The Last Kingdom” Season 4 is expected to begin with a recap of all that has happened with Uhtred. The official Instagram page of the show appears to have released that video online.

Uhtred has fought long and hard for Alfred (David Dawson) and his vision for a united kingdom he called England, but he did not get the recognition he deserved. Although he was able to finally reconcile with the king, it was only short-lived and Edward (Timothy Innes) ascended the throne.

The new king has much to learn about how to rule, and his mother Aelswith (Eliza Butterworth) has not been making it easy by alienating everyone who is loyal to the king. Meanwhile, people like Aethelhelm (Adrian Schiller) and Aethelred (Toby Regbo) have ambitions of their own.

The main enemy Wessex will have to face this year will be Cnut (Magnus Bruun), who is joined by Brida (Emily Cox). The other Dane, Hasten (Jeppe Beck Laursen) also has his own plans for the future.

While Wessex deals with its internal problems and another invading army, Uhtred will face his uncle to take back his lands. His love for Aethelflaed (Millie Brady) may bring him back to help Edward in his wars.

“The Last Kingdom” Season 4 will be released on April 26 on Netflix.
